Sustainable Spatial Planning 7.5 credits

The course focuses on sustainable development and gives a theoretical and practical background in the field of sustainable spatial planning. Specifically-, the course focuses on the physical, social and economical factors that affect the development towards a sustainable urban future. The following topics are developed during the course, e.g. the history behind the sustainable development, physical sustainable planning, the urban ecosystem, the social conditions of the city, case studies and visions for the sustainable community.

Physical Planning - Introduction, Spatial Planning in Land Management, Human Geography or equivalent course
