Future Housing Stakeholders Pool (FHSP)

The municipalities of Gävle, Sandviken and Hudiksvall, together with University of Gävle, have initiated a visionary long-term regional collaboration aimed at bringing together a wide-range of stakeholder communities, both within Sweden and at the EU level. This initiative is called Future Housing with the objective to focus on identifying the changing requirements of society and how these can most successfully be delivered to the citizens of the future. 

 
The various long-term drivers for these changing requirements are: the ageing demographics, developments in information technology, and the globalisation of digital communities.  As part of this initiative, a global Future Housing Stakeholder Pool is being set up which is able to assist in specifying the current and long-term future required activities in different municipal regions within Europe.

 
The focus of the immediate activities for the Stakeholders Pool will be on Ambient Assisted Living (AAL)so that the global ageing problems can be thoroughly addressed. The AAL Call 4-2011 will receive an application from the University of Gävle focussing on developing and commercialising solutions for personal mobility of the elderly at the EU level.

For the Stakeholders Pool, individuals and organizations are sought who are interested in participating in the planned AAL project, or for other potential future projects.
