Technology students finish their studies in the business sector

Robot och ingenjörsstudent på Högskolan i Gävle

Week 23 and 24, the University of Gävle opens its doors, as the technology and engineering students present their degree projects.

Meet the graduating students

The students present their whole degree projects, which they have been working on for ten weeks. The presentations last for about an hour and each also contains a public examination by other students, and comments and questions.

Since we have many engineering programs, you can find the topics you are interested in by looking in the programme. Welcome to attend!

Great expectations for technology students!

Technology students often write their degree projects in association with a company and usually they concern solving a problem, or improving a product or service.

The degree projects demonstrate great variation and breadth, and for the students they are a final test before entering the working life. In some cases, this valuable relationship may even result in an employment.

For the companies, this is good way to gain new knowledge, someone who with new eyes who can find other solutions. The job market is hot right now and the students are in great demand; many have an employment before graduating.

“This is the first time we gather all our students’ presentations in graduation weeks like this. It is really impressive to see the variety in how they tackle technological problems in society. Hopefully, this will lead to even more collaborations, something that would benefit students and the business sector alike,” says Emma Wiklund, project member in Technology partnerships.
