I want to make an interlibrary loan

What applies to borrowing and reserving library books?

Are you sick and unable to borrow or return books?

Borrow books
You can send someone else to borrow books or collect reserved books for you. That person must provide his or her own ID as well as yours.

Returning library books

  • Check first if you are able to renew your loans via your library account. The number of permitted renewals per item has increased from 4 to 10, as long as the book is not reserved. If the book is reserved, you will not be able to renew it yourself. Contact the library via email: or phone: 026-64 85 48
  • Someone else may return books on your behalf, either in the library or in our return box which is located outside the entrance to the Student Centre.
  • Send the book to us via mail, to the following address: University of Gävle, Library, 801 76 Gävle
  • Overdue loans will not incur fees from March 16.
