To be able to borrow printed books, you need to be a registered user. If you are a student or member of staff at University of Gävle, use your HiG card as your library card.

The simplest way to find our books is via the library catalogue.
You can check out your books yourself in our Self-Issue machines.
Course books can be borrowed for 14 days and other books for 28 days.
All course books can be found on the ground floor. The other books can be found on the first floor (named floor 3).
Please note that there is a fine (10 SEK/day) for overdue coursebooks.
You can borrow course books for 14 days and if you return them late, you must pay a fee. If your late fees exceed SEK 50, your library account will be blocked and you can neither borrow nor reserve new books.
Delayed course book SEK 10 / book and day
Maximum amount SEK 300 / book, SEK 1,200 / borrower
Book price + SEK 100 in administration fee. It is also possible to acquire the book yourself and leave it at the library. Books that cannot be repurchased are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
During the Library’s opening hours, you can return your books in the Library’s self-issue machines, When the Library is closed, you can return your books in our book drop, which is located outdoors, outside the Library’s east entrance.
Please note that your books will not be removed from your account until staff has deregistered when the Library opens again.
