ICT in learning

The research group "ICT in learning" studies the conditions for the use of digital technologies (ICT) in educational settings.

The use of digital technologies for teaching, learning and administration is studies and explored. The group's ambitions include developing ICT and media competence in teacher education, both when comes to teacher educators and the students. Collaboration takes place with ICT strategist from several municipalities as well as with other educational institutions.

The research group participates in the National Research School on Digital Technologies in Education (GRADE).

Virtual Reality in Educational Contexts. Framed by the Digital Learning Lab is explorative studies relating to the enactment and use of VR-applications in educational contexts undertaken in cooperation with various groups of teachers.

Net-based Lerning in University (Research within the project of implementing technologies and pedagogies for net-based leaning at the university of Gävle, Sweden). Three projects focusing (a) teachers enactment of ICT, (b) explorative design developing the teaching/learning of drug-calculation in nurse education, and (c) teacher students ICT-competence. Involving prof. G. Fransson, PhD.-student J. Holmberg, Dr. A. Elm, Dr. D. Masoumi, Dr. Kerstin Stake-Nilsson, Dr. Annica Björkman, lecturer Monique Toratti Lindgren, and lecturer Claes Westelius)

Kristina Walldén Hillström (Doctorial studies) Her research focus on iPads in pre-school.
