The validity and reliability of the Doloplus-2 scale shall be studied.
The intention of sub-study 2 is to paint a picture of medical treatment, healthcare and the daily life of elderly people with cognitive impairment with a focus on pain and its effects on daily activities, based on the logbook entries of care personnel and close relatives.
The intention of sub-study 3 is two-fold; first, to illustrate the medical treatment, healthcare and the daily life of elderly people with cognitive impairment before and after the introduction of the pain assessment tool, Doloplus-2, based on focus group interviews with healthcare personnel and close relatives, and second, to define behaviours which can indicate pain.
