It is also information which normally comes up in witness information and which is particularly useful as it is harder to misrepresent than e.g., hair colour and hairstyle.
On a more general level, our behaviour in social situations is always influenced by such information. Assessments of people's age, height and weight are relevant for the formation of many different theories, including psychophysics, social cognition and personal descriptions.
