Henrik Kaatari är lektor i engelsk språkvetenskap. Hans forskning sker främst inom det korpuslingvistiska fältet där han bland annat intresserar sig för grammatisk variation och syntaktisk komplexitet. På senare tid har hans forskning främst inriktat sig på lexikal och syntaktisk komplexitet hos svenska inlärare av engelska samt på samspelet mellan lingvistisk komplexitet och formalitet.

Henrik har en filosofie doktorsexamen i engelsk språkvetenskap från Uppsala universitet (2017). Masterexamen (2010) och kandidat­examen (2008), båda i engelsk språkvetenskap vid Uppsala universitet.

AKTUELL FORSKNING

Just nu är Henrik Kaatari engagerad som huvudansvarig för SLEC (the Swedish Learner English Corpus). Syftet med projektet är att bygga en korpus (databas) med engelska texter skrivna av svenska högstadie- och gymnasieelever. Läs mer om SLEC.
