This page contains information about the Library and the various functions and services that may be useful for new students.
Introduction to the Library
You can get a library account by filling in our registration form. Then come to the library's information desk to complete the registration.
You can search for printed books and course books in our catalogue. The printed course books are on the entrance level and the electronic course books can be found in the library catalogue.
You can search the Library’s databases, journals and e-books when off campus. You do this by logging in with your user account, or via the University’s remote desktop.
Here you can read more about the rules that apply if you want to borrow books and study a distance learning programme at the University and live in Sweden, but outside Gävle municipality.
We have created subject guides for various subjects and programmes. They contain tips on databases, books, web resources and how to search for specific topics.
The Writing Centre can support you in all stages of the academic writing process in Swedish and in English.
