If you are a student at the University of Gävle and need help with your research for a major project, you can also book an appointment for guidance in information searching. We will contact you within a few days of receiving your booking and arrange a time for our meeting.

How to prepare for the guidance session

  • In the booking form, enter the keywords you have used and the databases you have searched.
  • Bring your search history with you and be prepared for us to see how you have conducted your searches. The more prepared you are, the better!
  • When we meet, we will look at your previous searches and discuss ways to improve them. We don't give you ready-made solutions, but the aim is for you to develop and improve your search technique.
  • After our meeting, you will continue to work with the tips and tools we have given you.

(There can be a maximum of three people attending the same guidance session).
