About the researcher

Per Hilletofth was born in 1982 and grew up in Lidköping. After completing his upper secondary studies, he began his university studies at University of Skövde, where he completed a master’s degree in industrial management in 2005. After this, he continued his university studies at Chalmers University of Technology, where he completed a doctoral degree in Technology Management and Economics in 2010. After graduating, he began working as a senior lecturer in University of Skövde. He continued his career at Jönköping University in 2011, initially as a senior lecturer and from 2016 as a Full Professor. Since 2020 he has been employed as Full Professor at University of Gävle.

Per Hilletofth's research focuses on operations and supply chain management with an emphasis on operations strategy, manufacturing location, supply chain design, new product development, and demand and supply integration. He has published articles in international journals including Production Planning and Control, Expert Systems with Applications, Industrial Management and Data Systems, Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing, Innovation: Organization and Management, Journal of Manufacturing Technology Management, and European Business Review. He has editorial assignments in several international journals and has been guest editor for special issues in various international journals, covering topics such as decision support systems, sustainability and ethics in supply chains, supply chain competitiveness, and demand and supply integration. He is a regular reviewer of common operations and supply chain management journals. His research has won several awards for excellence.
